Main Page >> Rescues and Shelters Homeless Animal Rescue Team Our mission is to eliminate the surplus animals from being born. Through this relentless pursuit, we will reach the point of balance between supply and demand. In return, animals will become more valuable and therefore, hopefully, treated with respect.
Our goal is "Pound Prevention" with homes for all. Spaying and neutering is paramount; with fewer animals in the pounds, fewer must die.
BIRTH PREVENTION = POUND PREVENTION.
Our philosophy is ensuring quality of life to all living creatures, both feral and domestic. By controlling the reproduction rate of neighborhood strays, we are relieving some of the burden from the county pound, consequently saving money for the local governments and taxpayers. By "cleaning up" the local neighborhoods, HART also helps prevent tom-fighting, spraying and the spread of diseases from the feral and stray animals to family pets. Pet overpopulation is a huge cost to the taxpayers, to the lives of the animals, and to the hearts of the people who care.
HART is a non-profit, tax exempt, all volunteer humane service organization dedicated to people and their pets as well as the homeless and stray animals who need our help.
